Thank you for your interest in becoming the new Chief Executive of South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I hope that you will enjoy exploring this website and finding out more about the role, our organisation, our achievements and our ambitions. I have very recently joined the Trust as the new Chair, and I am looking forward to working with you and the rest of the team in delivering our vision, mission, culture and values.
As a Trust, we are in a strong position, and there is a good platform for our new Chief Executive to build upon. We are a specialist provider of community, mental health and learning disability services to the 1.22m people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. Most of the care we provide is delivered in local communities by our 4,200 staff and annual income of £240m. We also provide low and medium secure forensic mental health care to people across the whole of Yorkshire and Humberside and specialist mental health support into Wetherby Young Offenders’ Institution.
We are a high performing organisation with over 87% of services assessed by the CQC rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’. We have a significant role to play in both the West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Integrated Care Systems (ICS) working with partners to integrate health and care services to meet the needs of our diverse populations. Our new Chief Executive will be strategically active in building relationships within the wider system, which will be important as major changes to the NHS take shape over the coming months and years.
Following Rob Webster’s successful appointment into the Chief Executive role in the West Yorkshire ICS, we are seeking an inspirational, values-led leader who will work with the Board to deliver our vision. You will have experience from within service-delivery focused health and/or social care organisations of large scale and complexity and bring a track record of leading a diverse workforce working across multiple sites and disciplines. We are very open to hearing from both experienced and aspiring Chief Executives and keen for you to make your own mark on the role, bring your whole self to the position and inspiring others with your ambition for our workforce and those we serve. You will be a strong relationship-builder and be passionate about working with system partners in tackling health inequalities within our communities.
If you would like to find out more about this challenging and rewarding role then please contact our recruitment partners at GatenbySanderson; Richard Murphy, Mark Bate, or Emma Pickup on 07393 013 067 for a confidential discussion.
